August 2nd, 2007 Epping, New Hampshire

Today kicked off the opening round of the Super-20 League 2007 Finals in Epping, New Hampshire where our very own Brigade U20 team coached by Joe Montoya and Sascha Heckmann tied their first match 1-1.  They kicked off at 2pm EST against the MPS U20 team from Massachusetts.

They began the second half tied 0-0 when a cross was placed within the box resulting in a save by Goal Keeper, Victor Chinchilla from Taft Jr. College.  The save was followed by a scramble in the box and a shot was fired in from about twelve yards out by the MPS U20 team resulting in a 1-0 lead for Massachusetts.  The Brigade answered back two minutes later when a brilliant goal was scored by forward Ryan Williams, former Brigade PDL player and Long Island University team member.  The goal was a fantastic combination of plays and the final assist went to 17 year old Kenneth Taylor, Jr. who currently plays for the Brigade Gunners 89 team in Bakersfield CA.
