With the temperature exceeding 100 degrees again this weekend, the Bakersfield Brigade Men’s Premier Development League (PDL) soccer team will be taking on the Lancaster Rattlers (0-7-1) this Saturday night at Bakersfield Christian High School, Kick off will be at 7:30 pm. The first 500 fans will receive a free Brigade sports water bottle sponsored by Spanish Radio Group & Chuys.
The Brigade (3-1-6) will look to rebound from a 1-1 tie against the San Fernando Valley Quakes (4-2-4) this past Thursday night at Pierce College. The tie leaves the Brigade just two points out of second place with 6 games remaining in the season. “A home win this Saturday will be very important in keeping us in the playoff chase,” stated Brigade Head Coach Francisco Gomez.
The Rattlers are yet to pick up their first victory this season and will looking to spoil the Brigade’s playoff hunt with a win this Saturday night.
Saturday’s pre-game will feature the Brigade Super Y U20 squad taking on the Lancaster Rattlers U20 team in a 5:00pm start time. Gates will open at 4:30pm with the first 500 fans receiving a free Brigade Sports Water Bottle, courtesy of Spanish Radio Group and Chuy’s.
The Bakersfield Brigade Soccer Club Franchise is a PDL team, playing within the United Soccer Leagues’ PDL Southwestern Conference which is made up of ten teams throughout California. League play begins in April and goes through July 2008.
