The United Soccer Leagues announced today that three Brigade PDL Players have been named to the “Team of the Week” for the third PDL week of the 2007 season.
Brigade Goal Keeper Isreal Cisneros outshined all other 63 PDL teams’ goal keepers with two impressive wins that included 17 saves and two shutouts which prompted the honor given by the USL.
Fellow Brigade teammate Defender Jason Ashurst was also selected and honored for his play against Fresno Fuego where he recorded 2 assists, as the Brigade went on to win that battle 3-0.
Brigade Forward Santiago Aguilera was the third Brigade player honored and like Ashurst, was recognized for his brilliant play against the Fuego where he contributed 2 of the 3 goals during that match.
“Having one player recognized is cool but having three is really awesome,” stated Brigade General Manager Joe Jimenez. “We’ve started out pretty good and we’re only going to get better . . . if you haven’t been out to a game yet, you’re really missing out on some good soccer,” added Jimenez
