Falls Church, VA — October 14, 2005 – Soccer fans in Bakersfield, CA, now have a better opportunity to follow their local USL Premier Development League (PDL) team, thanks to Demosphere International, Inc., an IT company that’s been specializing in the technology needs of soccer organizations across the country for the past fifteen years. The Bakersfield Brigade’s upgraded Website,
www.BakersfieldBrigade.com, will be the main information source for fans, media, scouts, players, and coaches interested in the club, which currently fields 10 youth teams in addition to the PDL team.
“This alliance with Demosphere allows us to take our web presence to the next level,” says Jeff Thorn, Owner of the Bakersfield Brigade. “After weeks of researching potential solutions, I found Demosphere to be a common denominator in the sites that appealed to us. I appreciate their cost-effectiveness and the turn around time was exceptional.”
The new Bakersfield Brigade site will help the club better disseminate important information; allow fans to purchase tickets online; ease the online registration process for players, coaches, and alumni associated with the youth club; and manage the club’s yearly tournament. “Our agreement with the Bakersfield Brigade highlights Demosphere’s commitment to both USL affiliates and youth clubs across the country,” comments Demosphere Vice President Ben Jones. “We are always excited about working with organizations like the Brigade that make both a professional and youth soccer impact in the community.”

About Bakersfield Brigade.
In 2004, Jeffrey Thorn purchased the franchise rights to the Lafayette Swamp Cats, a USL Premier Development League team. In a community “Name The Team” contest, the Bakersfield Brigade name was born. In their inaugural 2005 season, the team led the Southwest Division in attendance and finished fifth in their eight-team division. In March, 2005, the Brigade conducted youth tryouts in an effort to increase the club’s presence in the Bakersfield community. Within 6 months, ten Brigade youth teams were established and compete today locally, as well as in Southern California’s Coast Soccer League.
